Three rods on ground that will not take a bank stick
A rod pod is a free-standing frame, and it exists for one reason: ground you cannot push a bank stick into — gravel, decking, concrete, frozen soil. The first figure is the number of rods, and it is almost always three: the Hirisi Tackle aluminium pod for 3 rods at 69,99 €, the Croch Master Deluxe for 3 at 59,99 €, the NGT 3 Rod Pod at 52,90 €, the Sonik Hero X for 2 at 58,39 €. The material is the second, and it is aluminium across almost the whole shelf, which is what keeps a three-rod frame under two kilograms. Two builds share the space and behave differently: a tripod, « Dreibein 360° » on the Cormoran Pro Carp Gun Pod at 55,85 €, which stands on any slope and takes up little room, and a four-leg frame, which is more stable in wind and slower to set. What a pod includes is where the prices separate. Some are the frame alone. Some add the rests — « inkl.
