Range, hopper load, and whether it finds its own way back
The best bait boats for 2026
A bait boat carries bait and a rig to a spot no one can cast to, drops both, and comes back. Three figures decide everything and all three are in the titles. The range is the first: 500 m on almost the whole shelf — Bilbear, Kavolet, LANGSHI, DYJD, CTLNEON, Charocean — and 800 m on the LOKEEVAN at 259 €. It is a radio range in open air, so an island between you and the boat costs some of it. The hopper load is the second: 1,5 kg on the Bilbear at 129,99 € and 152,99 €, 2 kg on the DYJD at 179 €, the CTLNEON at 130 € and the LOKEEVAN D50B at 252 €, 3,3 kg on the 800 m LOKEEVAN. A kilo and a half is one bucket of boilies; three kilos is a session. The third is GPS, and it changes the machine rather than improving it: with it the boat holds a course, returns to a stored point and comes home on its own — « Automatische Rückkehr » on the DYJD, « Auto Cruise » on the LANGSHI, « 180 Positionierungspunkte » on the LOKEEVAN. Without it, the boat is driven by eye and cannot be sent out at night. Two more numbers are worth reading. The battery, « 20000 mAh » on the LOKEEVAN and « Doppel 12V » on the D50B, which sets how many trips a night; and the motor count, « Doppelmotor » on most, because two motors let the boat turn on the spot instead of circling. One model puts a fish finder aboard — the Bilbear GPS boat with echo sounder and sonar sensor at 263,49 € — and it is the top of a shelf that runs from 129,99 €. We compare range, hopper capacity, GPS and auto-return, battery capacity, motors, onboard sonar, hull length and lights.
