Length and diameter, and a mesh that does not mark a flank
The best keepnets for 2026
A keepnet holds fish alive until the end of a session, and its two figures are printed together: a length and a diameter. The corpus shows 3,50 m at 45 cm across on the Zite Fishing at 32,99 €, 3,50 m on the Behr supersoft at 47,89 € and the Sänger Combo at 29,75 €, 4 m on the Sänger Combo 400 at 32,94 €, and shorter nets at 200 × 33 × 33 cm on the SWAWIS at 20,99 €, 90 cm on the Angel Domäne Bait Keeper at 21,99 €, 34 × 98 cm on the Soytich boat net at 15,70 €. Length is not capacity so much as depth: a long net lets fish spread down through cooler water instead of crowding at the surface, which is why match nets are three and a half metres and a boat net is one. The mesh is the welfare decision, exactly as on the landing net shelf, and the same word appears — « gummiert », rubberised, on the Zite at 33,57 €, the BESPORTBLE at 20,29 €, and « Supersoft » on the Behr. A knotted net marks a flank in twenty minutes; a soft or rubberised one does not. Two different objects hide in this family and the titles distinguish them. A staked net is pegged at the bank and needs a pole — « mit Tasche und Stab » on the Sänger combos, which include it. A floating net — « schwimmend » on the Angel Domäne Bait Keeper — holds its own shape in the water and is used from a boat or a platform. And the Angel Domäne wire net at 14,98 € is a third thing again: a folding metal cage for eels and herring, where a mesh net would be cut through. Read whether a bag comes with it, because a wet keepnet packed against tackle is the fastest way to spoil a rucksack. We compare length, ring diameter, mesh type, floating or staked, frame material, pole included and carry bag.
