It is a line class, not a casting weight. It states the line strength the rod is built to fight, and it does not say what lead it will drop. Two rods on this shelf give grams instead, and the two units do not convert.
One built for a multiplier or inline reel mounted on top of the blank, which is how a lead is dropped straight down and recovered under load. A fixed-spool reel hangs below and is a different arrangement.
To travel. Four sections plus the Cordura tube is a rod that goes in a suitcase, and no other boat rod on this shelf does.
